Luke's team finished up their season games today, not the best season record but a great group of boys. His playoffs start next weekend.
Carter's team finished the season games in 2nd place, unfortunately they lost in first round of playoffs. Carter has an amazing defensive games, lots of tackles but really upset the season in done.

Making treats
Brayden's respite worker also teaches a no-bake recipe class for an afterschool program. Carter and Luke (sometimes Brayden) get to try the construction of the treat before she does it with her class. They have no problem helping make (and then eat) these treats!

More football
Luke #28. Tries to get that ball when he tackles.
Carter #2. He had a great game. Quarterback and had a couple of great runs. On defense, several tackles and one interception when the other team was going for the extra point.

Basketball too
While football season is happening, the boys are also playing travel basketball. Luke with his D1SA team; he hustles, loves defense and loves to shoot.
Carter trains with D1SA, has played travel with them for a couple of years and just he moved to the Catoctin travel program (and made the top team!). He also tried out for the Harmony Middle School basketball team and made it!

The Birthday Boy is 12
Where has the time gone?! Carter is 12 years old.
He did have to go to school for his birthday. I did bring him lunch to school.
Then for his birthday evening it was football time. That ended in a tie (not a happy birthday boy).
I wanted a picture with the birthday boy...should have done it before the game (and notice the advertising in the back, good placement).

There is nothing like the Waterford Fair
Probably one of the most memorable events at Waterford Elementary is the yearly visit to the Waterford Fair. A little walk down the hill to the fair and the fun starts. The excitement is evident (even when it rained on us this year).
The kids are intreged by each craft demonstrator, looking for the next and the next, especially those they can participate in.
The fair provides characters that people can interact with. A HUGE favorite are the clowns.
I was able to chaperone a group of 4th grade boys...just four boys but then they gather. I believe the picture says it all...
Then come the middle schoolers...a right of passage is they get out of school "because they are Waterford students" to come to the fair. They come to the fair to hang out with their friends and hit up their favorite spots; which seem to include mostly food stops. Carter and his Waterford buddies.
The fair is one of the many reasons I love Waterford (except the traffic). It is such a part of growing up a Waterford kid, such memorable experiences.
