Egg Hunt by Carter

Carter set up an Easter egg hunt for Luke, Brayden and I. Carter sat at the counter, concentrating...putting prizes and clues into each egg, then placed them throughout the house.

He was so excited he barely let us figure out the clues to the hidden eggs, he just wanted to tell us!

Hey, you have plans for Thanksgiving?

For a brief few days, we had two turkeys. The dog wanted to retrieve them any moment she could, so the turkeys had to go. For an afternoon, the boys had fun.

Lion and the Mouse (and a hippo)

Carter's school put on a little musical based upon the Aesop's Fable, the Lion and the Mouse. The K-2 graders were the choir and cast. Carter was a hippo in the jungle. The songs were adorable. Carter loved it!

We had to provided costumes. When Carter came home to the assignment to be a hippo...I was not thrilled to have to come up with a costume but we found this hat. It worked out great. Even Brayden liked it.

We love a reason to party!

We drove to MD for a surprise birthday party for my dad. My grandfather, great-aunt & uncle and a family friend drove up from Myrtle Beach to surprise my dad. We joined them at church and then for lunch.

Some fun with the family and the boys love to see their cousins. Luke showing off his dance moves to the song Pants on the Ground (if you don't know what this is, don't ask...). And him cuddling up with his Uncle Matt.

Brayden could not handle all of the ruckus so he crashed in a bedroom.

Down on the farm

As a treat for the warm weather, we gathered with Jeremy's side of the family at a farm (a family property). This property has a historic home and spring house, along with several barns, a pond and it is riverfront to the Potomac. A perfect place for any outdoor adventure. It is also where Carter and Luke's ATVs are stored so they can ride all over the farm. Brayden went for a ride around the farm this time, by jogger stroller and on the new big toy.

Luke and his cousin, while Grandpa was saying grace. Luke put his arm around him and the two were attempting not to misbehave (can't you tell from their faces!). They are a pair.

Warm weather and boys

We are thrilled for the warm weather, after such a rough winter. Carter and Luke create all sorts of adventures while playing outside and all sorts of mess (do you see the mud splatter on Carter's back, shoes to shoulder?) .

Finish Strong

Carter finished his first basketball season. He had a great time.

The coach was great, as were the other boys on his team. Carter slowly built his confidence throughout the season, taking the ball down the court, setting screens and aggressively guarding his man.
