Finding the Christmas Tree

A nice cold day to find the Christmas tree.  Headed out to Millcreek farm.

Oh it is great that the boys can do a lot of the work now (it makes it more fun).
And we couldn't leave with some fun and yummy treats.

Luke is 9

My sweet Lukie is 9.  And I cannot stop calling him Lukie (he is not a fan when I yell this during his games, I just can't help it).
He had lots of little celebrations for his birthday, with the big one coming later in Dec when we are going to see the Harlem Globetrotters.

One with the Jenkins, the day before, after family photos.
At home the day of.
One with the Johnsons the day after.

Thanksgiving 2013

A warm cozy time at Jeremy's parents.  The kids happy to be with their cousins.
And Brayden happy to be with his daddy (and the rest of the family).
With the house decorated to make Pottery Barn want to copy it...and extra special plates.  Grandma Sommerfeld's, who is no longer with us and Thanksgiving fell on her birthday this year, china for the perfect place setting.

Thanksgiving Hunt

With Turkey already in the oven, it was time to get a different kind of bird.  The annual Thanksgiving hunt was for the ducks.

Carter actually got a duck right out of the air.  And then screamed with excitement, "I got one!"
Nothing but fun in the hunting blind with food, hot drinks and the dogs (who did the water retrieves).

1st Skate

Carter first time ice skating and it was a treat!
Sweet friends together (and a just as sweet mom treated them to this special afternoon).
Carter's first time ever putting ice skates on it was a success.  And even more a success that he really had fun and wants to do it again.
After the ice skating Ms. Oliver treated the boys to some treats at Cosi (some indoor smores).  What a way to spend the afternoon!
