Loose Tooth

Carter's kindergarten class had book readings today. Each child read a book in front of the class and their parents. Carter's choice was Loose Tooth. He did excellent. He said he was a little nervous but he didn't show it.

As a special treat for a job well done, Jeremy treated the family to cupcakes from the infamous Georgetown Cupcakes. Yum!

She is here!

Our new puppy arrived yesterday.

It was the talk of the town (or just our street). Eight little boys gathered around the new puppy, running her around for hours. They all played hide and seek with her and let her follow them throughout the entire yard.

The boys are besides themselves with excitement.

Luke, who has been deathly afraid of dogs, has really taken to her. Everything the puppy does he needs to announce it. "She is walking into the family room!" "She is running!" "She is drinking!" Carter is already showing responsibility and changed his chore chart already to including feeding the dog.

The puppy, Gander, is not too fond of the trex deck or the wood floors so she whines until someone will come help her. So far she seems sweet (pray for it to stay that way).

A day in the snow

A snow day and no school, with a side a hot chocolate.

Who could ask for more?

Despite the absolutely freezing weather and insane wind, the boys spent most of the day enjoying the snow.
