They both really enjoy soccer. Jeremy got them new soccer bags and gear for the camp and upcoming fall season. Luke thought he was cool with his new cleats. After running really fast and winning a couple of rounds at a game he reached down and touched his shoes declaring "These are some good shoes!"

OBX 2009
The vacation this summer was with some friends in the Outer Banks of NC. We all rented a house in Hatteras. With their four children and our three, we brought along babysitters to help with the crew (thank goodness because they entertained the kids).
We had gorgeous weather. Every day was at the beach. Playing in the sand and the water. Luke spent most of his time boogie boarding, Carter working in the sand and Brayden was relaxed, sleeping or trying out the water. Thankfully the weather was not too hot for Brayden and he could be at the beach with us.
We had a morning over on the sound side. The boys loved driving the car on the beach and Brayden loved the calm waters so he could sit and enjoy it.
The husbands went out for a day on a fishing charter...lets just say it was not the best day (you will have to ask them about it).
Luke was buried in the sand, probably the only time he was still. Carter dug holes.
Everyone was boogie boarding.
It was a great time.

The Ring Bear
Luke was the ring bear (that is how Luke says it) for my brother's wedding. His cousin Mekayla was the flower girl.
The rehearsal was nice. The wedding was beautiful and fun was had by all. A little dancing at the wedding...I wish I had the video of Carter and Luke dancing...they can shake it with the best of them!

Soccer, Basketball
Carter and Luke went to camp at Dulles Sportsplex. Half soccer and half basketball. They loved it. Luke is all about the speed. He dribbles (basketball or soccer) as fast as his little body will take him. Carter is much more methodical, thinking about where he wants to go, who is around and the best way to do it.

The 4th at home
Our 4th of July was spent at home. And we really had some adventures...part of the fun living out in the country. And we can watch a couple of towns' fireworks right from our front porch on the hill.

Take me out to the Ball Game
Carter participated in the coolest baseball camp! He and a few boys from our neighborhood went.
We also were able to attend a Keys game. Our friends/neighbors were all there, it was a blast! The boys were initially excited about seeing their "coaches" play but once we arrived and their eyes spotted the cotton candy and gear, they knew what they wanted.
We live in VA but not far from MD. This baseball camp was with the minor league team the Frederick Keys. The boys all thought the camp was great. The camp took place in the Keys stadium with the Keys players. The Frederick Keys stadium is beautiful, far beyond many minor league teams. To the little boys it might as well of been a major league team. They were in awe.
Luke had to have the foam hand.
